Starting a live video conference session
CerebroLMS is using the BigBlueButton platform for its video conferencing functionality. With this, LMS users do not need to download any software at all to conduct virtual classes, nor distribute meeting IDs and links to give everyone access, since all students of a particular class are already included in every video conferencing session. The teacher is automatically set as the host of every conference.
Some courses may already have instant access to this on their course pages through the Virtual Classroom button, while some may require the manual activation by the teacher. This can easily be done by clicking on the green-colored Turn Edit On button, and then clicking on the Add an Activity or Resource link at the bottom of every section.
From the pop-up box, select the BigBlueButtonBN radio button, and click Add.
On the BigBlueButton setup page, type a name for your virtual classroom on the area marked with red, and then click Save and Return to Course or Save and Display when you are finished.
Starting a session
To start a session, click on the Virtual Classroom's link, and the page to join the session will appear. Click Join Session to proceed.
